Beil offers internships to students who wish to learn more about book publishing procedures, especially copyediting, proofreading, and book design. Once the intern is accepted into the program, the weekly hours, the length of the term, and the objectives of the internship will be arranged with the intern. The intern's work is reviewed weekly during meetings at the Georgia Historical Society Library. These unpaid internships may be available for class credit. Applicants must have completed two years of undergraduate school, have a basic knowledge of modern English usage and grammar, and love books.
In July 2013 we will be interviewing applicants for the fall-winter session.
